Vital Statistics – Day five
I think it’s important to track your vital statistics while you’re getting fit. These I took this morning just before I ran, important too to take them at roughly the same time and best not to take them within hours of having a meal.
Embarrassing though some of them might be they’re there to track progress. I simple tape measure and an accurate set of scales will do to start with. I’ve invested in a set of reasonably good fat monitoring scales, they’re not bad but they do give me an indication of what’s going on.
Now before your read these, I do look better than they seem to project me 🙂 my waist is big at the moment but I still easily get into a pair of 32inch waist jeans and ask anyone and I do look skinny – honest guv.
Anyway a tape measure does not lie:
Right Biceps Relaxed – 10 7/8 inches
Left Biceps Relaxed – 10 5/8 inches
Right Forearem – 10 1/2 inches
Left Forearm – 10 1/4 inches
Chest – 38 1/2 inches
Stomach around belly button – very relaxed – 37 1/2 inches erkkkkkkk
Hips – 36 3/4 inches
Right Thigh – 21 1/4 inches
Left Thigh – 21 1/4 inches
Right Calf – 13 1/8 inches
Left Calf – 13 inches
Weight 11 Stones 6.2 lbs
% Fat 20.2%
% Water 58.4%
% Muscle 41.0%
Visceral Fat 10
That’s all not good, not only the worst stat’s in ages, but hell I’m giving up smoking and the last time I did that I put on a couple of stones AND my chest and waist have both gone up a half and a quarter of an inch respectively since I last took my stat’s only a matter of weeks ago – and I was smoking then.
