Running – Day eleven
Well as you might have gathered I didn’t go out for a run yesterday, I was far too lazy and didn’t fancy it straight after work, it was too nice weather and the place would have been littered with tourists and wise-cracking little kids you live for plodding runners plodding past. Also my ankle did feel a teeny bit under the weather so I decided to postpone the run till today and a very good day for it, it is (was). Got up around 6:30am and had a cup of coffee with honey and took my time getting ready, dotted income Tescos on the way over to Seaton to pick up some vitamin C tablets (I’ll go into those in pills and potions one day) and headed off to Seaton.
The morning was a bit cool but nothing to bad and the wind was up a bit but nothing to get at all worried about. In fact it was one of those glorious run out tail winds with a bit of a head one to stretch one on the way back.
Not too many people around, I don’t think I saw a single runner, all the dog walkers seemed to be down on the beach and there were only a few pedestrians and cyclists to break up the run. A fun fair was parked near the start all ready to decamp when they arose or when the weather got better, hard to tell.
Not a bad run, my ankle was giving me a tiny bit of grief and I tried to run an little more differently as I seemed to be running too much on one leg, not too sure if this is how I normally run or not.
I am trying to get the Garmin Connect Widget working on WordPress as it would feed all my run data from my GPS watch to WordPress but unfortunately it’s not working and keeps throwing up an error whenever I activate it. I’ve missed the last three runs as a result and as I’m out of diary room in my running diary (yes I kept them for years now – and they make quite interesting reading) I’m not recording my runs. So in an effort to correct this I’ve screen captured the last few runs and pasted them into each posts as thumbnails, click on them if you fancy seeing more detail.
Hopefully my new diary will be arriving soon.
