Running in lovely drizzle
Ran straight after work again, starting from Middlesbrough and having had a chat with Alison in the car park put me on for a late start.
Made it to Seaton in some lovely wet weather meant that it might keep some of the more unsavoury people in who feel compelled to comment about my running so I was really happy with it all. There was a tiny bit of wind – that seemed to be blowing in the wrong direction for the full run – and the rain forced me to put on a rain jacket but apart from that it was a really nice run.
The previous run had sapped a bit of my energy so even though I pressed pretty hard I was still going to be playing catch up on this one, but hey every run can’t be a record breaker so this did the job nicely.
Lots of people around despite the grimness, a handful of runners but none to pass and none who passed me. There were a couple of what looked like family teams out there running but apart from that there wasn’t much to write home about apart from some chubby looking surfers stripping down to their skinnies to squeeze into their wetsuits before taking a dip in the gnarly North Sea.
Mum’s birthday today so lots of pressies and cards… Lovely
