Did another run after work
Did another run after work, this time I started out from Green Lane in Middlesbrough at a standard 5pm leaving time, so I was understandably a bit late in arriving at the start in Seaton.
Not a bad day all told, the weather was really grim and grey but it wasn’t too bad at all for a run.
The wind never seemed to be in my face or behind me all up and down the front, it was just off to one side coming in from the sea in both directions. Anyway I seemed to start off really quickly my watch was reporting sub-seven minute miles which is blimey fast for me. Still without seeing the results it’s always tempting to believe that the watch has misjudged the distance run and just got things all wrong.
Anyway up in the distance I spotted a man running, he seemed to be making a good pace but I caught him in no time, ran him down and was welcomed with a startled runner exclaiming “I nearly sh*t myself there” as I ran past.
Anyway my pace slowed but I was still making good average time.
I turned on a sub 7:30/mile time and at the 5/6 stage of my run I noticed my watch had run out of juice.
Still no great shakes as I found later the watch had recorded all my times up to the point it ran out of power.
Headed back to my folks and spent the night there as my lovely sis and bro-in-law were staying over the weekend.
Life is good.
